Markle's Post, Converted from Comment; IT'S PASSING SHAMEFUL THAT THE COMPANY WAS COWED INTO SUCH AN UNHOLY AGREEMENT WITH THE GIRL
I was one who made a phone call about this to the hotline last year, and I got an answer that would insult anyone who saw the way Bob treated Rose, and that would be almost everybody except the terminally clueless.
It's plain how a good faith report is treated. The concerns were just ignored. Reporting issues is useless when the company already has an agenda.
Our report was called “allegations”.
We did not make allegations. Rose made allegations. We offered facts, and the company calling the matter closed is just what the problem is. Its not closed for the people who know just how unfair it all is. A screwing like this one does not close.
We did not want confidential information which is probably not all that confidential. We just wanted the company to do the right thing. I would that the company were as interested in doing the ethical thing as in protecting confidential information.
The girl needs to know how all this is taken.
It's passing shameful that the compliance officers would desert a person who was ambushed and betrayed and slandered and damaged like that, and its passing shameful that my company was cowed into such an unholy and unethical agreement with the girl, an agreement that keeps the man good enough to work but makes him not good enough to be seen. It's passing shameful that my company would hand someone a career long sentence to pacify the girl. The relationship between the two people was sweet, but what was done to Bob is ugly and dirty.
