When you talk about the matter, though, your comments are right on.

It looks like two or three people found the way to cure Bob of his chronic loyalty and pathological devotion to the company, and his chronic good health too.

Unfortunately there are those two or three who for their own defense will always rationalize that Bob brought everything upon himself. That view is aptly described by one of your obscenities that got deleted. Those two or three caused it all. One lied and betrayed and one over reacted through inexperience and incompetence and one stood aside and did nothing.

Your support and ethical outrage is right on. The company sure didn't take the high road on this and neither did Rose. You bet her husband was part of this and they saw $$. Yeah, she committed the treachery, but greed might run in the family.

No Bob won't talk. Somebody is watching him in his own branch, and if he did not know it he needs to be told. Darn upright of the company. You have to wonder what else the company does not tell him.

Bob, probably knowing that he is under surveillance in his own office, is not talking, but there are people that talk, and none of them support Rose.

If he had done anything after she told him not to, then discipline might have been needed, but its known that he didn't. If his discipline was suppose to be preventive, this is where the winning law suit is.

Preventive discipline has to be illegal.

Rick thinks he might have been fired in some companies, but more possible is that Rose would have been fired for malicious trouble making and Dr. Huntley would have been sent for some training. I wouldn't say it as crudely as you did, but Ricky probably is educated far beyond his competence.

That other head office case you mentioned is relevant because of double standard. It probably was a real case of harassment which that gal would have won in court, so the company paid her to leave and forget it, and the man had an employment contract. This makes it all the more plain that Bob was sacrificed. That other guy will be gone when the contract is up.
