Athena Wisdom's Post; HE LOVED YOU LIKE A FRIEND AND A SISTER AND PROBABLY LIKE A DAUGHTER
Rose,
We are acquainted somewhat, and we have spoken, and we had a mutual friend.
Our mutual friend probably was never a hunk, and he certainly isn't a hunk in advancing age.
But he had the intellect of an atomic scientist, the heart of a samaritan, and the sensitivity of an artist, and he certainly was so fond of your daughter. After that Christmas one year, he talked about how beautiful she was.
He that I knew was a gentleman and a truly gentle man.
Do you think he was in love with you? Of course he was. He loved you like a friend and a sister and probably like a daughter. I believe that's what the bear was all over. His only wish was to continue to enjoy the pleasure of your company. Was this so bad?
Did this deserve punishment? Do you think that it might have been dealt with harshly? I have faith enough to believe that maybe you didn't intend all the consequences to him, for you could have had all you wanted simply by telling him. Wouldn't it be time for a reconciliation? A broken promise can't be unbroken, but a burned bridge can be mended.
He would be afraid to make the first move. You could, maybe, and it would be passing shameful if HR wouldn't let you do it. They are most sensitive and defensive over this.
This has been bad for everyone. It's passing sad that HR feels that two employees can't acknowledge the existence of one another, and it's a passing pity that there are many who just don't want to visit Headquarters anymore because of this.
I would like for you to know who this is, but I fear that you might take this message for something that it isn't, and report it as harassment. No harassment is intended. This is just an appeal to the human decency that I believe you have. You will do with this message whatever you think best, and it's not for me to judge. It's not in this life that anyone is to be judged.
God bless.
